The Police Wear Sunglasses For Reasons

How The Police Should Behave

Quite often you will see the police wearing their police prescription glasses but why on earth do they do this? Is it to protect their eyes from the sun, look cool, or just because they can? It looks to be all three of them.

Sunlight

The police still do patrol the streets on foot and wearing sunglasses can help them on those long summer days as the sun can damage the eyes when you are out in it for too long. It is actually recommended that police officers wear sunglasses on days like this and it can be especially as important for a police cyclist. This is because they are exposed to the sun all the time and wearing sunglasses allows them to see the road.

Expressions- I don’t think so

A lot of cops will put on sunglasses when they are about to interview someone not only to hide their identity but to hide their expressions. Very clever criminals can play off of expressions which is partly why it is done. Sometimes it is is very useful for the cops to wear reflective sunglasses as the criminal can only see their own faces.

Bad Ass

Most people would sooner listen to a cop in sunglasses than they would without them, it just looks like they shouldnt be messed with. Terminator 2 is actually a prime example of how good sunglasses can look on a cop, without them he looked awful!

If you don’t believe me then it is well worth checking out some of the films with those awesome police glasses in and get yourself a pair of d&g prescription sunglasses.

Although the police do sometimes actually have to wear these glasses in the sun there has to be times where they do not need them at all and they just wear them to intimidate people. Wouldnt we love to do it too.
