Eyelift Surgery

If you have excess skin getting in the way of the upper eyelids, any loose skin hanging down from the upper lids impairing your vision or a puffy look around your eyes, you may be a serious candidate for eyelid surgery.  If you have wrinkles around your eyes you may need eyelid surgery.

Eyelid surgery can usually correct these problems. During the consultation, you may be asked to look in a mirror and point out exactly what you’d like to have fixed.  This is the best way to get the results that you want, by saying exactly what you would like to have done.

There will also be a through going over of your past and present health as well as any problems you may have or that may arise during or after the eyelid surgery. Allergies, diabetes, high blood pressure all have a baring on the risks associated with this type of surgery. If you wear contacts you will need to wear them that day as well.

Each person is different, so everyone does not achieve the same results from eyelid surgery. Your surgeon is the best person to give you the choices as to what would benefit you.  The doctor can make you aware of all the choices you may have.

For upper eyelid surgery, an incision is hidden within the natural fold of the upper eyelid and extends slightly beyond the outside corner into the laugh lines or other existing creases that you may like to have lifted.
